Easter Day 2008
 
 

The entire sacrifice offered by the people, during the Fast's Saturdays had been donated to some children and old people shelters from Galata - Iasi and Sculeni. Beside these offerings, the ladies from the Parish's Comitee had suplimented the menu of these social centers during these days and had even offered some clothes.               Keeping the tradition, near the Easter holiday 20 food packages had been offered to some families of our parish, to make them enjoy, in a certain limit, beside the other believers, the rebirth of Iisus Christ.

The first part of the divine service of the Easter Night was performed outside and the Saint Liturgy, inside. The donations brought by the believers were blessed by the priests and the second day, all the participants were invited to a glass of wine, beside the usual red egg and pound cake.

         
 
 
         The main activity of this year (2008) is to identify possible financial sources in order to finish the purchasing of construction materials and to begin the work in replacing the roof, which is deteriorated nearly in 80%. Due to this, there are high rain-water infiltrations. Taking in mind that the work will start around the midle of May 2008, any help is welcome and certainly, who will help God's House, the Lord will repay him.
